Mt Pleasant Elks Take Mrs. Claus to Visit Veterans

During the Christmas Holidays, in December 2013, the Mt. Pleasant Elks were excited to have none other than Mrs. Claus join them for a visit to Veterans at the VA Hospital in Charleston.
They served cookies and drinks along with some Christmas Cheer.

Mt Pleasant Elks Present Americanism Essay Awards

On Friday, May 24, 2013, the Mt. Pleasant Lodge presented awards to students of Coastal Christian Preparatory School and Cario Middle School of Mount Pleasant. The students were finalists in the Americanism Essay contest held by the SC State Elks Association. Essays were collected from each Lodge and the top 3 for 5th-6th grades and 7th-8th grades were sent to the state association. Our Lodge collected almost 100 essays from three schools. Out of the 6 essays selected as finalists, 4 were from Coastal Christian Prep and 2 were from Cario Middle.
The finalists from Coastal Christian were, Sarah Woodberry (8th grade), Adam Deering (5th grade), Mac Blakeney (5th grade) and Caroline Vail (5th grade). Finalists from Cario Middle were Sabrina Fiorilo (7th grade) and Maddie Strickland (7th grade). Three of our finalists also placed at the state level. Sabrina Fiorilo tied for 3rd place, Maddie Strickland place 2nd and Caroline Vail came in 1st place.

Mt Pleasant Elks Recognize Eagle Scouts

On September 10, 2012 the Mt. Pleasant Elks Lodge recognized two Eagle Scouts from Mt. Pleasant Boy Scout Troop No. 20. These two brothers achieved the rank of Eagle Scout at the ages of 12 and 13, which is about the earliest age possible according to the rules and requirements of accomplishing this rank.
The Mt. Pleasant Lodge was pleased to meet these young men and present them both with the Elks' Eagle Scout Certificate along with a United States Flag flown over our nation's capital with a signed certificate from US Senator Lindsey Graham from SC.

Mt Pleasant Elks Present Tents to Local Troop 506

One of the objectives of our lodge is to support youth programs in our community and the Boy Scouts of America is just such a progarm.
The Mt Pleasant Elks lodge is used part of its 2012 ENF Grant to purchase tents and present a donation of $250 for addtional camping supplies to Troop 506 of Mount Pleasant. The troop meets at the Greater Goodwill AME Church in Mt. Pleasant.

Welcome to Mount Pleasant

The Mount Pleasant Elks Lodge No. 2687 is officially recognized as part of the Mount Pleasant community with our presence on the Welcome to Mt. Pleasant sign. The sign is located on Coleman Blvd at the intersection with Patriots Point Rd. The sign was erected in the fall of 2011. If you are in the Charleston area, be sure to visit Mt. Pleasant. We are proud and honored to be part of such a growing community with so much to offer. Welcome!



Dues and Membership Cards

The 2014-2015 annual membership dues Were due in April. If you have not paid your dues, they are past due. You can mail your payment to the lodge secretary or pay at a meeting. Make check payable to: Mt. Pleasant Elks Lodge #2867. 2014-15 dues are $78.

We meet at the Mt. Pleasant VFW Post 10624, located at 1411 Stuart Engals Blvd, between Applebee's and Chuck Dawley Blvd (526 overpass). The meeting will start at 7:00 PM. (Any exceptions will be announced.)
